Sheehy Auto Stores: Making health care easier at CHoR

We have a deep connection to and affinity with the Richmond community,” said Lauren Culbertson, chief marketing officer, Sheehy Auto Stores. “Our involvement with the Children’s Tower presented an opportunity to support children, families, and those who are taking care of them daily.”

Lauren Zaller Moore (far left) and Rachel Bruni (far right) with Children’s Hospital Foundation joined representatives from Sheehy Auto Stores including its three Richmond area dealerships for a tour of the Children’s Tower last winter.

Since its founding in 1966, engaging with customers and the surrounding community has been integral to Sheehy Auto Stores. With 27 dealerships, including three in the Richmond area, Sheehy Auto Stores supports annual company-wide initiatives like school supply, toy and food drives as well as a year-end giving campaign, which has raised $2.3 million since 2002.

The company also supports local initiatives like its recent gift to Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, which was matched to make a $50,000 impact and provide naming rights to a staff lounge space in the Children’s Tower. A Vision Partner with our Corporate Champions program, Sheehy Auto Stores recently delivered snacks, personal care items and supplies for team members to enjoy in the break room and emergency department.

“Through our contribution, we aim to alleviate the challenges faced by children, families, and healthcare workers,” said Lauren.

With more than 350 associates in the Richmond area, some have personal connections to CHoR including the general manager of one of the local dealerships and a parent who approached Lauren after the announcement of Sheehy Auto Stores’ relationship with CHoR.

“We are pleased with the positive feedback we’ve received from the community and the hospital, and we look forward to an ongoing partnership to include customer-facing initiatives to raise funds and awareness,” said Lauren.
